The Panel Stack floating tool bar is displayed when a document is in the Design or Editable Mode. For an introduction to panels and panel stacks, see About layering data in dashboards: Panels and panel stacks. From the toolbar, a document designer can move the entire panel stack, switch from one panel to the next to format or add objects, create new panels, delete panels, and re-order the panels. The toolbar contains icons to perform these actions.
Open the document in Design or Editable Mode.
Expand the section where you want to add a panel stack by clicking the plus sign next to the section name.
From the Insert menu, select Panel Stack.
Click in the desired section of the document layout area. The panel stack is added to the document, with a single panel.
Select the panel stack to display the panel stack floating toolbar.
Use the icons described below as desired:
To select
and move the panel stack, click the Select
and Move Panel Stack icon . Click and drag the panel stack to move it.
To display
the previous panel, click the Previous
Panel icon . This icon is enabled when additional panels are added.
To display
the next panel, click the Next Panel
icon . This icon is enabled when additional panels are added.
To add a
new panel, click the Add New Panel
icon .
To add a
duplicate panel, click the Add Duplicate
Panel icon .
To delete
the selected panel, click the Delete
Panel icon .
To move
the panel to the back or bottom of the stack, click the Move
Panel Backward icon .
To move
the panel to the front or top of the stack, click the Move
Panel Forward icon .
To rename
the panel, click the Rename Panel
icon .
Type the name in the Name field,
then click OK.
To add text,
a shape, a report, grid or graph, a panel stack, an HTML container, a
selector, or widgets to the panel stack, click the Insert
icon . A drop-down list is displayed. Select the object you want to
insert, then click the location on the panel stack where you want to insert
it.
Note: The floating toolbar does not include the options
